The Guardian published the following article last week (click here) which raises some interesting points, most notably that OFSTED, the schools inspectorate in the UK, loves the idea. There is much being said about character education in the UK at the moment, which is great. Stowe School are hosting a conference in January 2017 (click here) which looks interesting. Some schools and organisations have been doing these things for years and their pupils have benefited. Although it is not always tangible or measurable (in a world where we feel we have to measure and compare everything), the benefits of character education are individual and might only be recognised sometime in the future.

Should we be thinking a little more about what is good for children?
