A half term in review

We travelled to Milton Keynes on Monday to visit IKEA. A very interesting experience, but managed to find a couple of items for the house. A lamp here, vase there etc etc.

Tuesday saw us take the train to Birmingham to visit the Bullring (large shopping centre). The main purpose of the trip was to get measured for suits for Nico's wedding in April. Ben loved the train, but hated getting measured by the tailor. Not even a Starbucks Chocolate Frappuccino would cheer him up.

Wednesday, while Ben was at play school, I took Mel and Anna to a local pub for lunch. It was lovely to get out and have a local ale. The rest of the day and Thursday were used to potter around the house, hanging pictures, moving furniture and then moving them back again.

A really cool developement in the household is that we have stopped paying Sky for TV, as we ended up watching very little and have signed by with easyCinema.com. We select a couple of DVDs online and when they are available we are posted one. We can keep it as long as we like, but will only get the next one when the first is retuned. An efficient Royal Mail delivery service makes this all possible.

The weekend will probably involve a couple of braais / Webers and visiting another local church.

Have fun!
